Let it Flow - WPI 2019 Campaign

Water is the single most important resource for the West Point Inn and its guests. A major project for 2019 will be the installation of an enhanced spring box to improve the reliability and quality of the water delivered to the Inn. Our goal is to raise $15,000. We are working in close partnership with the Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) to enhance how our water is sourced. Won’t you help us in this effort?

Your tax-deductible donation to WPIA’s “Let It Flow” campaign will help us fund this much needed project. There are two easy ways for you to make a contribution:

  1. Please include a check with your annual membership renewal.

  2. Click here to make a contribution using your credit card or Paypal account. https://www.westpointinn.com/support-the-inn

World famous’ Mt. Tam railroad engine to be restored to historic glory

Heisler Locomotive #9, the last surviving full-sized piece of the Mt. Tamalpais & Muir Woods Railway, a railroad once internationally famous as “The Crookedest Railroad in the World", has spent the last 65 years in Scotia, CA. The Pacific Lumber bought the engine and put it on display on Scotia’s main street in 1953. On March 15 of this year, a local group called "Friends of #9 LLC" lead by Fred Runner was the successful bidder to purchase the engine from the Town of Scotia.

Want to Help WPI with Fire Prevention?

Thank you for considering a year-end contribution to help us raise money for fire prevention at the West Point Inn.

After the recent Sonoma/Napa fires, increasing our defensible space has become a top priority. We have been fortunate to preserve the Inn for over 113 years. We are grateful to Pete Martin, our fire and safety chair, who is vigilant about fire safety.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to increase the defensible space around the West Point Inn.

There are two easy ways for you to make a contribution:

  1. Please include a check with your annual membership renewal.

  2. Please click on the link at the top of this article to make an online contribution using your credit card or Paypal account.

Thank you~

Those interested in staying overnight at the Emig, or any other cabins, or in the Inn's guest rooms, need to make reservations using the West Point Inn’s on-line reservation system. To facilitate the reservation process, those who have concerns about accessibility or environmental/chemical sensitivities are strongly encouraged to contact the innkeeper before making reservations, by calling 415-388-9955.  The innkeepers can answer questions about the appropriateness of the Emig cabin and the other accommodation in the Inn for these needs.
